‘Dat Boy Funny’ Starring Roland Powell Gets Great Reviews
Margate, FL – March 31, 2004 – Roland Powell’s DVD ‘Dat Boy Funny’, which was released on January 27, 2004 opened to great reviews. Publications such as Rolling Out in Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles, Memphis, Charlotte and St. Louis have all said, “Dat Boy Really is Funny”. This is a must see for young urban fans of “Crunk Comedy” says Video Store magazine.
Roland’s DVD is distributed through Ingram Entertainment and is available at Best Buy, Tower Records, FYE and most major stores. The Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) stores have sold almost 5000 copies of ‘Dat Boy Funny’. Independent stores such as Big Al’s in Jacksonville and Supersounds in Atlanta are having great success with this DVD.
Roland is continuing his comedy across the country with a performance with Actor/Comedian Kat Williams at the University of Oklahoma the weekend of April 3rd as well as a performance at Ft. Hood, which is the largest military base in the country for the U.S. Troops on April 17, 2004.
Look for Mercury Entertainment to follow up with a series of comedy videos with artists such as Benji Brown, Tre Love and Larry Dog in the near future. They are sure to be just as funny and successful as ‘Dat Boy Funny’.
