Company description:: Jeff Goldstein’s newly formed film company JOEY VEGAS PRODUCTIONS, located in New York City will produce “The Lilac Papers”, as their debut project; with his mother Arlene VanAmburgh from North Greenbush NY, giving the green light. This tragic but poignant story centers on the mother, wife, and sister of a man dying of cancer. Based partly on true events from the passing of Goldstein’s younger brother in 2001, this story has become a huge source of support for others. “I needed closure”, said Goldstein “as well as shouting to the world how did my mother do it?” This is the second son Mrs. VanAmburgh buried, the first in 1973 from Leukemia, as a single parent. “I always wondered how my mother never turned to drugs or liquor.” Goldstein reports. “This film is meant to pay tribute to Mother’s who have lost a child, and to inspire others”. “I’m moved that my son wants to help others in similar situations” says Mrs. VanAmburgh.
